Employees accrue an average of one sick day per month. After five years of service, a portion of unused sick leave begins to earn a cash value.
Employees accrue an average of 14 days of vacation per year. The amount of vacation accruals increases at every five years of service.
OCCU observes most major holidays, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Employees receive holiday pay on these recognized dates.
Employees may choose from multiple plans. OCCU covers as much as 100 percent of the premium for full-time employees and a pro-rated premium of at least 75 percent for part-time employees who work at least 24 hours per week. Coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and/or dependents may be purchased by the employee. This includes vision, prescription, and chiropractic care.
OCCU provides life insurance coverage equivalent to two times an employee's gross annual earnings. Additional coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and/or dependents may be purchased by the employee.
Flexible Spending Account
Employees may elect pre-tax payroll deductions for child care expenses and unreimbursed medical expenses.
OCCU pays 100 percent of the premium for full-time employees and 75 percent of the premium for part-time employees who work at least 24 hours per week. Coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and/or dependents may be purchased by the employee.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
OCCU provides insurance in the event of a long-term illness or accident.
Short-Term Disability Insurance
Employees may purchase short-term disability coverage.
Employees age 18 and older can choose between Traditional pre-tax 401(k) contributions or Roth after-tax contributions.
401(k) Employer Contribution Match Program
After six consecutive months of employment, employee contributions are matched at 150 percent up to an employee contribution of 6 percent, creating an OCCU match of 9 percent.

OCCU Scholars’ Program
Employees wishing to further their career may apply for financial assistance to pay a portion of the cost of books and tuition for post-secondary education.
Interest-Free Computer Loans
OCCU provides employees with no-interest loans for computers, laptops/notebooks, tablets, and peripherals for terms of up to three years.
Employee Assistance Program
Employees have access to confidential counseling and referral services as well as career counseling and development through the Employee Assistance Program. A number of visits are free.
Employee Referral Program
Employees who refer someone for a job who is subsequently hired will be eligible for a monetary reward.
CORE Volunteer Program (Community Outreach for Employees)
OCCU supports community involvement by giving all employees the opportunity to volunteer for a local nonprofit organization or school of their choice through paid time off.
OCCU offers Lane Transit District bus passes, additional training programs, a Sales and Service Incentive Program, Wellness Committee, and Fun Committee, as well as milestone anniversary gifts.
