What’s new: Ignite Savings, fee savings calculator, OCCU Foundation, and more

There’s always something new happening at OCCU. That’s because we’re constantly creating new products and services to give you the best possible member experience.

Your financial success is our success. We strive to do everything we can to remove the barriers in your way and help you get to where you want to go in life. As a not-for-profit credit union, we reinvest our profits into our members in a variety of ways. Here’s a look at some of our latest developments:


Ignite Savings® account

Saving money isn’t easy even in the best of times. During the pandemic, many households have had to turn to their savings. We created the Ignite Savings account to help jump-start or build your savings no matter where you are in your financial journey.

This high-yield savings account has no minimum deposit, and it pays impressive dividends on your first $500, and competitive rates on the rest of your balance. Fee savings calculator

Our goal is to help you reach your financial goals faster, and we believe account fees only get in the way. That’s why we’ve been working to eliminate as many fees as possible. To date, we’ve eliminated or reduced 40 percent of our account-related fees.

Member Enrichment Program

Whenever we have an important decision to make, we look to our members for guidance. Your needs are at the center of everything we do. Your feedback helps shape choices about our products, services and member benefits.

While we’re always listening to input from our members, whether in-branch or on social media, we’ve decided to take our member feedback program to the next level. When you interact with our team, you may receive a short email survey. In less than five minutes, you can provide valuable insight into your member experience and help us continue to serve you better. If you receive a survey from us, we hope you’ll take a moment to offer some guidance. If you don’t receive one, we’d still love to hear from you.


OCCU Foundation

Did you know OCCU has its own foundation? OCCU Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded to help support initiatives and organizations that make a difference in the communities we serve. We help fund great local ideas by awarding grants to local nonprofits focused on:

  • Community development.
  • Increased access to education.
  • Community health and long-term viability.
