Pardon our dust: We’re making way for new ATMs

We’ve been hearing feedback from our members that our ATMs could use some updates. We’re happy to share we heard you and we’re delivering! ATMs are an essential part of your financial life. It’s important that we give you the best experience possible.

Now through spring, we’re replacing all our machines with new and improved models. What’s great is they’ll allow us to bring more services in the future—giving you the warm and welcoming member experience you’re used to with our team at the teller window.

If you notice a stir at your local OCCU branch over the coming weeks, that’s because we’re moving out our old ATMs to make way for new modern ones. It will take some time to finish each installation, so please pardon our dust while we create a new member experience for you.

We’ve already rolled out the new ATMs at several of our branches—including Downtown, South Eugene, Royal, Keizer, and Coburg—and now we’re working on bringing them to the rest of our locations.

Once the installations are complete, you can expect an upgraded member experience that’s everything you deserve at our walk-up and drive-up ATM. Here are a few of the new features you’ll enjoy:

Member-centered experience

Using the ATM is more than a withdrawal. It’s a regular stop on your financial journey. Just because it’s self-service doesn’t mean it has to be impersonal. Our new machines offer all the ease and convenience of automated banking, but with a more human touch. Soon, we’ll also introduce new technology called Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs). These ITMs will allow you to connect with our team virtually during your transactions at our drive-ups.

Enhanced security

Keeping you and your money safe is our top priority. We’ve enhanced security on our new ATMs to prevent tampering and ensure you always feel safe and secure when making a transaction. It’s important that we continue to protect our members against intrusion and skimming devices.

More accessibility

We want to ensure all our members get the services they need when they access them. To make transactions easier for members with differing abilities, our new ATMs are equipped with advanced accessibility features such as an enhanced microphone and superior audio jack capabilities for the visually impaired.
